The Diocese of Ávila receive next January 28 a relic of Blessed John Paul II, from Rome, at the hands of the proponent of his canonization, Monsignor Slawomir Oder.
This is a "special grace" granted to the Diocese of Avila, that "feels blessed" and is ready to "receive with joy," a relic that was not immediately clear what will and that from January 28 will remain in Avila.
Therefore, the same day will be held a preparatory conference on "The New Evangelization in the life and thought of John Paul II," which will be borne by Slawomir Oder, in the Auditorium Box Avila from 17.30.
Subsequently, the Cathedral of El Salvador will host at 19.00 a Mass presided by the Bishop of Avila, Jesus Garcia Burillo.
Once the religious celebration, the faithful who so wish, have the opportunity to venerate the relic of Blessed John Paul II, who will from then installed in one of the chapels of the temple.
Thus, the relic will become a piece of the Diocese of Ávila, along with others, among which are some of the most important holy Avila as Santa Teresa de Jesus, San Juan de la Cruz and San Pedro de Alcantara .
